The Jr. NBA/Jr. WNBA is the official recreational youth basketball program of the NBA and WNBA. Designed for boys and girls ages 6–14, it’s where the journey begins for every young athlete—whether they are stepping onto the court for the first time or dreaming of the pros.

Registration and Ages

  • Who is eligible to play in MLS GO?

    We are open to all boys and girls ages 4–14. No prior experience is necessary! Our league is focused on fun, development, and inclusivity.

  • When does registration close?

    Registration deadlines will be published soon. 

  • Is financial assistance available?

    Yes! We believe every child deserves to play.



    We are committed to removing financial barriers through two unique opportunities. First, you can apply for the MLS GO Play Fund—a national initiative from Major League Soccer—by visiting mlssoccer.com/mlsgo/play-fund.



    Additionally, local assistance is available directly through the Franklin County Sports Club, which you can apply for seamlessly when registering for the league.

Equipment & Uniforms

  • What equipment do I need to buy?

    Your registration fee includes an official MLS full kit (Jersey, Shorts, and Socks). You must provide your own shin guards (mandatory for safety) and soccer cleats.

  • Can I choose my jersey/team?

    Teams and jerseys are assigned to ensure balanced competition. While we can’t guarantee specific MLS clubs (like Inter Miami or LAFC), every player receives official, high-quality gear.

Schedule and Logistics

  • When and where are games played?

    The season runs from April 8th through May 24th. All games and practices take place at New Haven Memorial Baptist. Most games will be scheduled for Saturdays.

  • When are practices?

    Practices are typically held once a week on weekday evenings. Your specific practice day and time will be determined by your volunteer coach after teams are formed.

Schedule and Logistics

  • Can I request to play with a friend?

    Yes! There is a "Buddy Request" field on the registration form. We do our best to honor these requests to help kids feel comfortable, though we cannot guarantee every single match-up.

  • Who coaches the teams?

    Our teams are led by volunteer parent coaches supported by the MLS GO curriculum. If you are interested in coaching, please check the "Volunteer" box during registration—we provide all the training plans and equipment you need!
