Job Summary:

The Performance Coach will lead the development and delivery of FCSC’s new Sports Performance Training Program — a supplemental athletic training initiative designed to enhance strength, speed, agility, endurance, and injury prevention for youth athletes across multiple sports (soccer, baseball, softball, volleyball, football, cross-country, and more).


This role requires a passionate, knowledgeable, and motivating coach who understands how to tailor performance programs by age, sport, and ability level.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement safe, age-appropriate performance training sessions for athletes ages 8–18.
  • Create customized training plans for different sports and athletic goals.
  • Educate athletes on injury prevention, recovery, and nutrition fundamentals.
  • Work collaboratively with team coaches and the Executive Director to align performance training with sport-specific needs.
  • Track and report athlete progress and attendance.
  • Maintain a positive, professional, and inclusive environment during all training sessions.
  • Help promote the FCSC Performance Program through community engagement and social media content when appropriate.



Qualifications:

  • Associates’s or Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Sports Performance, or related field (preferred).
  • Relevant certifications such as NSCA-CSCS, NASM-PES, or USA Weightlifting (preferred).
  • Previous experience coaching youth or high school athletes in a performance setting.
  • Strong communication and motivational skills.
  • CPR/AED and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
