Understanding the 2026/27 Age Group Updates
Starting with the 2026/27 season, US Youth Soccer and the Missouri Youth Soccer Association will transition from calendar-year age groups to a school-year cycle (August 1 – July 31).
This shift is designed to better align players with their school-grade peers, making the game more social and accessible for everyone.

Got Questions? We've Got Answers
Spring Series
What is the difference between a Kick-Around and an ID Session?
Kick-Arounds are designed for younger players to enjoy the game while coaches observe. ID Sessions are more formal evaluations for our older competitive teams.
Can we attend sessions in both Union and New Haven?
Yes! We encourage players to attend as many sessions as possible to get maximum "touches" and visibility in front of our coaching staff
Does attending a Spring Series Event count as trying out?
No, players will still need to attend an official tryout. Click here to register for tryouts.
What do I need to bring?
Make sure to bring a soccer ball, cleats, shin guards, and ample water.
Age Group Changes
Why has my child's age group changed?
Starting in August 2026, US Youth Soccer (USYS) and Missouri Youth Soccer (MYSA) have returned to the "School Year" age matrix (August 1st – July 31st). This ensures players are grouped more closely with their classmates. Please refer to our age chart to find your child's new group.
Are there any exceptions to this change?

Tryouts
What can I expect at tryouts?
Expect a high-energy environment that feels like a fast-paced, structured practice. After checking in and grabbing your numbered pinnie, you’ll jump into a dynamic warm-up followed by technical stations—think 1v1s, passing patterns, and finishing drills. The session usually wraps up with small-sided games or full-field scrimmages, where coaches evaluate your player
When will we receive an official offer for a team?
Per MYSA Eastern District rules, offers to players outside the club begin May 24th. However, final roster invites for all teams will be sent via PlayMetrics starting Friday morning, June 12th.
What should I bring to tryouts?
Make sure to bring a soccer ball, cleats, shin guards, and ample water.
Do I need to register for tryouts ahead of time?
Yes, you will need to register ahead of time to make sure we have all the information needed for your player. Click here to register for tryouts.
What if it rains during tryouts?
We play through the drizzle! However, if the weather becomes dangerous (lightning or unplayable field conditions), we will notify all registered families via email and post updates on our social media channels.
