Why Choose MLS Go?
Authentic MLS Experience: Every player wears official MLS-branded uniforms. Your child won't just play soccer; they'll represent teams like Inter Miami CF, LAFC, or St. Louis CITY SC.
Pro-Level Curriculum: Our coaches use the MLS GO Playbook, a structured, age-appropriate training guide developed by MLS experts to ensure kids are learning the right skills at the right time.
Focus on Fun & Development: We prioritize a "no-cut" environment where the goal is to build confidence, learn the fundamentals, and develop a lifelong love for the game.
Community First: We believe soccer is for everyone. By keeping costs low and focusing on local play, we bring the excitement of the big leagues directly to your neighborhood.
Frequently Asked Questions
Registration & Ages
Who is eligible to play in MLS Go?
We are open to all boys and girls ages 4–14. No prior experience is necessary! Our league is focused on fun, development, and inclusivity.
When does registration close?
Registration closes strictly on March 18th to allow time for team formation and uniform ordering.
Is financial assistance available?
Yes! We believe every child deserves to play.
We are committed to removing financial barriers through two unique opportunities. First, you can apply for the MLS GO Play Fund—a national initiative from Major League Soccer—by visiting mlssoccer.com/mlsgo/play-fund.
Additionally, local assistance is available directly through the Franklin County Sports Club, which you can apply for seamlessly when registering for the league.
Equipment & Uniforms
What equipment do I need to buy?
Your registration fee includes an official MLS full kit (Jersey, Shorts, and Socks). You must provide your own shin guards (mandatory for safety) and soccer cleats.
Can I choose my jersey/team?
Teams and jerseys are assigned to ensure balanced competition. While we can’t guarantee specific MLS clubs (like Inter Miami or LAFC), every player receives official, high-quality gear.
Schedule and Logistics
When and where are games played?
The season runs from April 8th through May 24th. All games and practices take place at New Haven Memorial Baptist. Most games will be scheduled for Saturdays.
When are practices?
Practices are typically held once a week on weekday evenings. Your specific practice day and time will be determined by your volunteer coach after teams are formed.
Teams & Coaching
Can I request to play with a friend?
Yes! There is a "Buddy Request" field on the registration form. We do our best to honor these requests to help kids feel comfortable, though we cannot guarantee every single match-up.
Who coaches the teams?
Our teams are led by volunteer parent coaches supported by the MLS GO curriculum. If you are interested in coaching, please check the "Volunteer" box during registration—we provide all the training plans and equipment you need!
