About FCSC Goalkeeping Academy
Introducing our FCSC Goalkeeper Academy at Franklin County Sports Club—our dedicated training program aimed at cultivating confident, technically proficient, and game-ready goalkeepers. Under the guidance of USSF Licensed Coach and FCSC Goalkeeping Director Jason Schmelz, this program emphasizes:
- Optimal positioning and footwork
- Shot-stopping and diving techniques
- Handling, distribution, and decision-making
- Communication and leadership from the goal line
Goalkeepers will engage in high-repetition, small-group training within a fun yet challenging environment to enhance their skills and build confidence for the game.
