We are thrilled to share that Franklin County Sports Club (FCSC) was recently featured in the August issue of Washington Neighbors Magazine!
The feature story, titled "Bringing the World Cup Spirit Home," highlights the heart behind our mission: proving that high-quality, competitive soccer doesn't have to mean traveling far from home. Leading this effort is President and Executive Director
Alex Moraes, whose own journey began on soccer fields in Honduras. After competing in his country's U-17 National Men's Team process and building a career in corporate marketing and coaching, Alex brought his passion and Argentinian Soccer Federation Professional Coaching License home to serve local families.
Growing Opportunities for Every Athlete
Serving players ages 4 to 18 throughout Franklin County communities, FCSC is more than a competitive soccer club—it is a place where young athletes develop skills, character, and a true sense of belonging. Built on our core values of
Respect, Integrity, Excellence, and Community, our growth reflects the community's demand for high-caliber programs:
- Expanding Leagues: Since 2025, FCSC has rapidly expanded its competitive program to 10 select teams, while doubling tryout numbers for the MLS GO recreational soccer program to almost 90 players.
- Pro-Level Training: We introduced Elevate Performance, a youth strength and conditioning program led by NASM-certified professionals, and welcomed UEFA-licensed coaches from the Bayern Munich Academy for elite training.
- Accessible To All: We believe financial hurdles shouldn't keep talented kids off the pitch. Through FCSC’s Dream Big Scholarship, we provide full scholarships to families facing hardship, ensuring every player has the chance to play.
