Franklin County Sports Club and SEMO Elite Announce Club Partnership to Strengthen Player Development and Competitive Opportunities

Franklin County Sports Club (FCSC) is excited to officially announce a club partnership with SEMO Elite, a leading youth soccer club based in Cape Girardeau. This partnership marks a shared commitment to prioritize player development while creating new opportunities for competitive match play and coaching growth.

With aligned values and a mutual dedication to quality development, FCSC and SEMO Elite will work together to provide their players with additional games before and during the competitive seasons. These experiences aim to sharpen technical skills, promote teamwork, and prepare athletes for the next level of play.

“This partnership is rooted in a shared mission—to put the development of our players first,” said Alex Moraes, President and Executive Director of FCSC. “We’re thrilled to work alongside SEMO Elite in providing more game experiences, supporting each other’s events, and creating an environment where both players and coaches continue to grow.”

"At SEMO Elite, we believe success starts with a foundation of character, hard work, and consistent development. Partnering with FCSC is a natural fit—our clubs share a common purpose: to elevate players through meaningful competition and a community-first mindset. We’re excited about the road ahead and the opportunities this alliance creates for everyone involved,” said JP Sides, Executive Director at SEMO Elite.

Furthermore, Nick Rapisardo, Club Director at SEMO Elite, said, "FCSC reflects the same values that drive our work at SEMO Elite—passion, professionalism, and player-focused development. This partnership gives both clubs a chance to challenge our players in the right environment while also strengthening our coaching networks across Missouri. Together, we’re building something bigger than soccer."

As part of the partnership, FCSC plans to participate in SEMO Elite’s premier tournament, the Mississippi River Derby, with future collaboration on other sanctioned tournaments and events already in discussion. Looking ahead, both clubs will also prioritize coaching education by hosting workshops, courses, and shared learning opportunities to enhance coaching standards and philosophies.

With this alliance, FCSC and SEMO Elite are setting a strong foundation for long-term collaboration—one that benefits players, coaches, and families alike across Missouri.
