🚧 FCSC to Break Ground on Full-Size Soccer Field at New Haven City Park This Friday

Big news is taking root in Franklin County.
This Friday, July 25, Franklin County Soccer Club (FCSC) will host a
groundbreaking ceremony at New Haven City Park, marking the beginning of construction on a full-size natural grass soccer field — a first for the local municipality.

🙌 A Vision Rooted in Community

Earlier this spring, FCSC received official approval from the New Haven Park Board to take on a significant responsibility: to plan, build, and gift a high-quality soccer field to the City of New Haven and its residents. While the field will ultimately belong to the city, FCSC has taken on the role of stewarding this project — a labor of love for our club, our mission, and our beautiful County.

📅 Ceremony Details

📍 Location: New Haven City Park
📆 Date: Friday, July 25, 2025
🕤 Arrival Time: 9:30 AM
🕙 Ceremony Begins: 10:00 AM

We invite families, athletes, supporters, and local residents to join us in this special moment. Before the first shovel hits the dirt, we will dedicate this project to the Lord through a short time of prayer and reflection, led by Pastor John Wagner (First Christian Church of Union) and Pastor Daniel Cargill (Memorial Baptist Church).

🤝 Honoring Our Partners

This field wouldn’t be possible without the generosity and collaboration of our local partners and families. We are incredibly thankful to be joined at the ceremony by:

  • Mayor of New Haven and City Authorities
  • New Haven Park Board
  • FCSC Board of Directors
  • Local families and youth athletes
  • Community partners:
  • Muddy Boots Services
  • Twin Oaks Landscaping
  • Excelsior Engineering
  • And the generous Hebbeler family, whose support helped make this dream a reality

⚽ Why This Field Matters

At FCSC, we believe that soccer is more than a game — it’s a vehicle for growth, connection, and transformation. This new field will provide a home for generations of players and a platform for community programs, league matches, and youth development.

But more importantly, this is about giving back — building something lasting for Franklin County and empowering kids in every corner of our community.

📣 Join Us!

Whether you're a soccer fan, community leader, or simply someone who believes in the power of investing in youth, we would love to have you there. Come celebrate this major step forward for Franklin County.

Let’s kick off the future — together.
