Franklin County Youth Soccer Players Featured in Professional Lineup and Match Operations During USL 2 Home Finale

WASHINGTON, MO — Franklin County Sports Club (FCSC) officially activated its dynamic community partnership with the St. Louis Ambush professional soccer organization this past weekend. FCSC youth athletes, coaches, and families traveled to the outdoor match venue at Missouri Baptist University, turning the stands into a sea of FCSC blue and showcasing the depth of youth soccer culture in Franklin County.

The match served as a premier showcase for FCSC's young talent, who were integrated directly into the professional game-day operations. Players from the FCSC U16 Riptide girls' team served as the official match Ball Retrievers, managing the sidelines alongside pre-professional athletes. Meanwhile, the FCSC U10 boys' squad took center stage for the pre-game ceremonies, participating in the traditional "Walk of Champs" where they walked hand-in-hand onto the pitch with the St. Louis Ambush starting lineup for the national anthem.

"Seeing our players stand side-by-side with professional athletes under the stadium lights is exactly why we built this partnership," said Alex, Executive Director of Franklin County Sports Club. "Our athletes didn't just watch the game—they were a part of it. The energy in the stadium when FCSC was announced over the PA system speaks volumes about the community we are building, and the incredible support from our local sponsors like Bank of Washington makes milestones like this possible."

The partnership also successfully launched its integrated club fundraising initiative. Through a dedicated ticket portal, FCSC families and community partners raised vital funds, with a portion of every ticket purchase returning directly to the club to support facility upgrades and scholarship programming for local players. Following the overwhelming success of the outdoor USL 2 event, FCSC and the St. Louis Ambush are already finalizing plans for expanded youth experiences and fundraising nights during the upcoming Major Arena Soccer League (MASL) indoor season.
