FCSC Featured on On the Pitch Podcast with Bridger Pretz

Alex Moraes • October 14, 2025

Coach Bridger Pretz sits down with FCSC’s Alex Moraes to talk soccer, vision, and the journey of starting a club from scratch.

Franklin County Sports Club was recently featured on the On the Pitch Podcast, hosted by Missouri soccer coach and advocate Bridger Pretz. The conversation highlighted our club’s beginnings, our vision for growing the game in Franklin County, and the journey of our President and Executive Director, Alex Moraes.

Bridger brings over a decade of coaching experience at both the club and high school levels, currently coaching with KC Legends and Park Hill South High School in Kansas City. A former JUCO and NAIA college player himself, he’s passionate about shining a light on the people and programs shaping soccer across Missouri.

In this episode, Alex and Bridger talked about:

  • Alex’s playing and coaching career, including the experiences that shaped his coaching philosophy.
  • The college soccer pathway and lessons learned from building teams and mentoring players.
  • The challenges and rewards of starting a soccer club from the ground up.
  • The mission, vision, and long-term goals of Franklin County Sports Club — and how we aim to build opportunity, community, and excellence for players and families in our region.

This conversation is a great listen for players, parents, and anyone passionate about the growth of soccer in Missouri.
