A Partnership Rooted in Service: FCSC & Memorial Baptist Church of New Haven

How a Shared Commitment to Service, Faith, and Youth Brought FCSC and Memorial Baptist Church Together

Franklin County Sports Club (FCSC) is honored and deeply grateful to formally announce our partnership with Memorial Baptist Church of New Haven—a relationship that began in the summer of 2025 and has already had a lasting impact on our club, our players, and our community.

From the very beginning, Memorial Baptist Church opened its arms—and its fields—to FCSC. When our club was still in its early stages of building a competitive soccer program, Pastor Daniel Cargill, church leadership, and the congregation made the generous decision to share their field space with us. That act of faith and service became one of the foundational moments in FCSC’s journey.

Memorial Baptist Church was one of the first locations where FCSC held tryouts and competitive program training sessions, helping kickstart what has now grown into a thriving youth soccer organization serving families across Franklin County and beyond. Simply put, this partnership helped make FCSC possible.

Pastor Daniel Cargill shared the heart behind the church’s decision:

“Memorial Baptist Church is delighted to partner with Franklin County Sports Club (FCSC) to bless the youth and families of Franklin County.
We have made a point to bless our community with our facilities, because God has blessed us with them. 1 John 4:19, ‘We love because [God] first loved us.’ Our hope is that while people are on the property, they experience peace and joy, and know that God loves them. God desires that all men would worship Him in Spirit and Truth and the FCSC family, and their friends, are welcome on the property and welcome to come and encounter the One True and Living God with us.”

This message reflects the very mission of Memorial Baptist Church:
“We Exist to Love God, Make Disciples, and Reach the World for Christ.”

That mission is not just spoken—it is lived out through service, generosity, and a genuine desire to bless others. By opening their facilities to youth sports, Memorial Baptist Church has created a space where families gather, kids grow, and community is strengthened—all while experiencing an atmosphere of peace, joy, and welcome.

Looking ahead, we are especially excited to share that Memorial Baptist Church will be the home of FCSC’s first-ever MLS GO recreational soccer league, launching in Spring 2026. This program will introduce even more children and families to the game of soccer in a fun, accessible, and community-centered environment.

On behalf of everyone at Franklin County Sports Club, thank you to Pastor Cargill, church leadership, and the entire Memorial Baptist Church family for choosing to serve, to give, and to love our community—especially its youth. We are truly blessed by this partnership and excited for all that lies ahead.
